Rocacity Gavà-Viladecans

Roca City Gavà-Viladecans is much more than a new urban development: it’s an opportunity to rethink how we want to live, move around, and interact with our environment.
Between Gavà and Viladecans (Barcelona), this project will transform more than 32 hectares of currently underutilized land into a space that combines housing, economic activity, nature, and well-being. Around 2,700 homes are planned, almost 50% of which will be social housing, along with an 8-hectare linear park that will reclaim the historic stream as a green axis and a sustainable connection between neighborhoods.
Roca City envisions a vibrant, mixed-use city, where 60% of the land will be dedicated to economic uses linked to innovation and Industry 4.0, and the remainder to residential spaces, amenities, and open areas for public enjoyment. All of this is underpinned by a vision of active mobility, landscape integration, and urban regeneration.
🌱 Furthermore, the project aims to achieve LEED for Communities certification, an international standard that recognizes urban developments committed to efficiency, resilience, and the quality of life of their communities.
At Optinoos, we are joining this important project a Roca Group by providing sustainability consulting, committed to ensuring that every decision contributes to a more efficient, inclusive, and environmentally responsible development.
💚 Because building a city also means caring for the planet.
