🌱 OPTINOOS at the DGNB en USO Conference
OPTINOOS attended the conference “Greenwishing vs. Improving the Actual Performance of Buildings: The DGNB en USO Proposal,” organized by GBCe. The conference presented the new DGNB BIU’26 scheme, which focuses on promoting continuous improvement based on real-world building performance data.

What is DGNB en USO?

It is an international certification system that evaluates the actual performance of buildings in operation (not just their design), measuring environmental, economic, and social aspects, and promoting continuous improvement through the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act).

During the conference, the following were highlighted:

• The importance of working with data measured in use to understand the real-world performance of the asset.

• The role of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for more rigorous decision-making.

• The system’s alignment with European frameworks such as EPBD, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and CRREM, which are fundamental for ESG strategies and regulatory compliance.

This content is key to moving towards more efficient, transparent buildings that are prepared for future demands.
